2023 Home Block Chardonnay

The 2023 vintage of our Chardonnay reflects the unique climatic conditions of the year. A very wet winter and spring interrupted flowering, leading to a lower yield. However, the dry, not overly hot summer of February and March resulted in high-quality fruit with lovely natural acidity. Our 2023 Chardonnay is a gorgeous expression of the vintage. From the initial smell right through to the final sip, this wine oozes elegance and sophistication. It opens with captivating aromas of white stone fruit, honeysuckle, and citrus blossom, leading to a palate brimming with yellow peach, cashew, and a hint of lemon zest. These vibrant flavours are balanced by a silky, medium-bodied mouthfeel with refreshing acidity and a long, satisfying finish. Whether enjoyed on its own or paired with a meal, it promises to be a delightful addition to any occasion.
