TASTING NOTES
Our 2022 Rosé is crafted using Pinot Noir grapes from our Melba Block. Keeping with our preferred french-style of rosé, the subtlety of the strawberry nose is balanced beautifully with a savoury palate and a bright finish. This elegant rosé will drink beautifully during the warmer months. Perfect for any occasion
WINEMAKING
100% handpicked on 10 March 2021. Chilled overnight and whole bunch vacuum bladder pressed. Matured in a stainless tank over 7 months.
100% malolactic fermentation and sugar dry. Due to the extremely wet November, we had interrupted flowering which resulted in 50% less fruit.
Summer was kind with good ripening, resulting in great fruit complexity. Fermentation was consistent, although needed to be chilled to slow the process down, fermenting over 10 days.
140 doz bottled 27 October 2022. Unfined and unfiltered.
