The name steels gate originated from the love and passion of gates from owners, Matthew and Brad. Steels Gate vineyard is located at the end of Steels Creek and can be seen as the entrance to the Yarra Valley from King Lake. Vineyard history

Steels Gate Vineyard; 5 acres of 25-30 year old non-irrigated vines is located on 41 acres of land in Steels Creek. Backing onto National Park with a balance of natural bushland, provides the vineyard with the protection required to grow exceptional fruit. History on Steels Creek

Steels Creek is a town in Victoria, Australia, 45 km north-east of Melbourne's central business district, 7 km north of Yarra Glen. Its local government area is the Shire of Yarra Ranges. In 2006 the ABS listed the population as 3,760. The Post Office, Steel's Creek, opened on 14 March 1890 and closed in 1968. Steels Creek has a community centre at the site of the public Primary School, which was closed down in 1992. Learn More»
